Alcumus are again proud to sponsor the Central Café at the Health & Safety Event at the NEC, 22-24 March 2016.
This year we are showing risk the red card, so come and see us for your chance to win a rugby ball and shirt signed by Rory Underwood, or even tickets to see England vs South Africa in November 2016, the proceeds of which will go to Veterans Aid (in support of our association with the Armed Forces Covenant).
We will be creating an informal hub at the heart of this reputable industry event to encourage health & safety professionals, industry experts and the general public to come together to discuss the challenges facing the sector today.
As well as providing a relaxed networking environment, Alcumus experts will be on hand to help visitors gain insight into how they better understand, manage and demonstrate their legal obligations regarding health & safety. Alcumus will also demonstrate how best practice health & safety management can also enhance the wider performance of a business and improve the bottom line by mitigating corporate risk.
We will have information on how our recent acquisition of Santia and Safe Contractor has elevated Alcumus’ position as a leading player in the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) markets.
Rory Underwood will be presenting the Keynote speaker session at the event on 24th March, and will talking about the challenge of balancing the management of H&S risk vs business’s financial drivers. Using his experience of flight safety he will provide an enlightening talk on behavioural safety throughout other sectors, as well as using analogies from his experience in international rugby and as a jet pilot to highlight issues in successful management and leadership in a health & safety context.
He will be available at the Alcumus Café afterwards should anyone wish to speak to him in more detail.
Rory will also be on the panel of experts of The new Lions’ Lair where innovative products will be demonstrated and judged – see if you can get it past a real (British) Lion.
Registration to the event is available at www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk
