The SHP IOSH Awards 2011 are taking place in October and Alcumus are sponsoring the IOSH Lifetime Achievement Award.
The IOSH Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have furthered the status and practice of occupational health and safety, leading to substantial improvements to the lives of working people. The award was established in 1999 by IOSH and Sypol, part of the Alcumus Group, to mark the 25th anniversary of the 1974 HaSaW Act. Sypol were joint advocates of the establishment of this premier award and have been the sponsors since its inauguration, and now as part of the Group, this continues under the Alcumus name.
The award has previously been won by Roger Bibbings, Lord Walker of Doncaster, Professor Sir Julian Peto, George Brumwell, Nancy Tait MBE, Michael Clapham MP and Judith Donovan CBE.
The SHP IOSH Awards are recognised and respected throughout the profession, and are taking place on Thursday, 20 October at the London Hilton, Park Lane.
