Who is the seminar aimed at?
Those with responsibility for managing fire-related risk including health & safety managers, FM managers, Building managers and Landlords.
The CPD accredited seminar will be approximately 2 ½ hours long and will count towards your continuing professional development.
This event will cover key aspects of managing fire-related risk in buildings, with particular emphasis on regulatory compliance obligations from both a Landlord and Business perspective. The speaker will draw in his experience in supporting many clients in complex and multi-occupied buildings and use engaging case study examples to bring the subject matter to life. clients During the seminar Delegates will be provided with an understanding of Fire safety fundamentals, including:
- Fire legislation and the key obligations of persons responsible for fire safety
- An overview to guidance and British Standards
- Fire Authority and emergency response approach
- Fire authority inspections – what to expect
- Disabled persons evacuation and the landlords role
Following the seminar there will be refreshments and a chance to network with like-minded peers, as well as an opportunity to meet our team regarding any aspect of statutory property compliance and risk management. There will also be opportunities to learn about other ways in which Alcumus can assist you with managing your QSHE regulatory obligations, including GRC software, health and safety consultancy, accredited inspection and monitoring, COSHH risk management and UKAS accredited certification.

Brian is an highly skilled fire safety consultant and has worked for SM&MS for 17 years. Brian has a wide range of experience in delivering fire safety consultancy to a wide variety of clients and is also responsible for the development and implementation of training courses to meet clients’ needs.
