Cheque Printer Accreditation Scheme (CPAS) – Audit Standard for Cheque Printers (CPAS mapping to BS7799)
This standard has been prepared by APACS in association with the British Standards Institute (BSI). It provides a basis for the audit of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) implemented within an Accredited Cheque Printer’s organisation.
This standard, used in conjunction with BS ISO/IEC 17799:2000 Information Technology – Code of Practice for Information Security Management, addresses the 3 specific information requirements for an Accredited Cheque Printers, these are:
- Customer data and cheque products;
- Origination work (such as digital design files / signature files);
- Computer based processes such as downloaded customer information, including transaction processing.
