A FTSE 100 company, Severn Trent Water serves over eight million people in the heart of the UK.
They supply nearly two billion litres of drinking water a day, across an area that spans from the Bristol Channel to the Humber estuary and from mid Wales to the East Midlands, including Birmingham and ten other major industrial cities. Severn Trent Water takes away used water, treats it at over one thousand sewage works and puts it safely back into rivers and streams.
The company has over five thousand employees, based across all Severn Trent Water sites as well as field, mobile and home-based workers. They were seeking a solution that could be used by their employees regardless of location and that could be branded with their logo and colours. Alcumus Info Exchange were chosen because we can deliver such a system, which is tailored exactly to their needs, using their terminology and processes, giving the business confidence that there will be maximum adoption of their new investment.
Severn Trent Water was seeking a system that could record Health and Safety events, including near miss and hazard reporting, as well as statutory compliance and manual handling audits. We will also be implementing some of our newer functionality, incorporating Google GeoMapping functionality for added reporting capability around incidents, as well as our offline/tablet app which allows information to be recorded without internet access.
