Overview of course

This course is designed for those responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, as well as employees who use hazardous substances in manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices. The qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.it will help employees identify; the hazards associated with those substances; the risks and controls available to deal with the substances; and what to expect from a COSHH assessment. A course book published by the CIEH is issued to each delegate at the start of the course which delegates retain. At the end of the training each delegate completes a multiple choice exam.  This is returned to the CIEH for marking. Candidates who pass the exam receive a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
