Course aim

To provide the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to undertake the role of an accredited emergency first aider in the workplace.

Who should attend?

This training is suitable for people who are 18 years old or over. It is designed for staff who work in lower hazard environments, have fewer staff or where HSE guidelines indicate staff should be trained and hold a certificate in emergency first aid at work.

Candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures detailed in the course outline and must attend the full day to be eligible for assessment.

Please note, if you have staff members with asthma, allergies, diabetes or a heart condition (and these are detailed in your risk assessment) the HSE recommend that you consider completing the 3 day First Aid at Work course. This is because these conditions are no longer covered in the Emergency First Aid at Work course.
