Overview of course

As back injuries continue to rise, efforts are made to train employees in proper lifting techniques to reduce the frequency and severity of these injuries, especially in maintenance and operations, custodial, grounds work, food services, child development centres and special education. This course provides recommendations for safe lifting. The objective of this course is to enable delegates to recognise the requirements of the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992, and to train them in the correct methods to be employed when carrying out manual handling operations.
