The Career Opportunity
To provide an effective and professional HR support service and support the HR Business Partner to enable Alcumus to achieve its business objectives and maintain a stable and effective workforce.

Location
Based at our Manchester and Huddersfield offices this role will involve travel between our offices at both locations and will include visits to our Stratford office (Edstone) when required.

The Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional HR Business Partner you would develop and maintain customer relationships (internal and external), provide the HRBP with relevant people information, to allow for effective planning and prioritising, provide first line day to day advice on basic HR Issues.

Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the business, and the issues impacting people and organisational culture, your role would include assisting and guiding Line Managers all people related tasks per process/policy e.g. Attendance Management, Performance Management, Fact Find Investigations, Disciplinary and Grievance hearings.

You will support in implementing best practice methods and in delivering messages in a tactful and effective manner.

You will work to manage the administration flow to HR Payroll Admin and provide administration support to the HRBP where necessary. Working closely with the whole HR team ensuring that Line Managers are provided with the relevant data without breaching the Data Protection Act.

The Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • IT skills Microsoft office (excel, word)
  • A passion for HR, for delivering a quality service and an interest in people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills (internal and external)
  • Flexibility to cope with the varying demands of the role.
  • Ability to remain calm and objective under pressure

The Qualifications
CIPD Level 3 (working towards will be considered) as a minimum.

Salary
£20,000-£24,000 – based on skills, qualifications and experience.
