CDM 2015

Construction Design and Management Regulations

Both in the UK and worldwide, construction remains the most dangerous industry to work in with a vast number of minor and major injuries and fatalities occurring annually.
These dangers, combined with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the increase in potential fines for worksite accidents, mean that it has never been more vital to keep health & safety risks at an absolute minimum during construction projects.
Alcumus offer the services needed to help our clients achieve this by providing support and advice from our experienced and knowledgeable construction experts.
Following the implementation of CDM 2015, the Client’s duties and liabilities have increased. Alcumus can be appointed to ensure that these duties are discharged.
Many designers do not possess the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to deliver the role of Principal Designer. Alcumus can provide the Principal Designer Role or provide relevant support to Designers to ensure the role is delivered compliantly.
For specific clients, we have developed a bespoke project delivery model, that includes the appointment of a specialist construction health and safety advisor, encompassing the duties of both the client and the principal designer. Alcumus have developed this approach to meet the demands of our clients property portfolios.
Alcumus provides a ‘one-stop shop’ project management service, which will include the delivery of the role of Principal Designer.
Alcumus provide advisory services to small and medium sized contracting organisations, to ensure compliance with the duties of the Principal Contractor.
