Network Rail Aims to Improve Worker Safety With Alcumus Info Exchange and Sypol COSHH Management Software Network Rail own, operate and develop Britain’s railway infrastructure which, includes more than 20,000 miles of track and 20 of the UK’s largest train stations.  With more than 4.6 million journeys made every day, the safety of passengers and employees is at the heart of everything that they do.   

Having used Alcumus’ COSHH Management System, Sypol CMS, for 15 years, Network Rail understands the value that technology can add to their risk management processes.  As a result of the strength of this long-standing partnership, they have recently selected another software solution from Alcumus, Info Exchange, to refine its bank of Work Activity Risk Assessments and ‘Task Risk Control Sheets’, which will bring considerable improvements to worker safety.

The jointly-configured application will enable Network Rail to extract relevant and important safety information contained within all of their health, safety and COSHH risk assessments into one connected platform.  This technology-led approach will now provide their 37,000 workers with easy simplified access to key safety information when performing significant high-risk activities and tasks.
