ISO 9001: 2015 is the world’s most recognised quality management standard, providing a robust management framework to help organisations improve business practices. As well as showing commitment to customer satisfaction, the standard also offers organisations a boost in brand reputation and is an effective tool to differentiate a business from competitors.
In addition to helping Streetbike
become more efficient, they are also hoping the recent certification will enable them to expand their client base and successfully tender for Government contracts by supplying motorcycles, particularly 100% electric motorcycles, as well as clothing and equipment.
Wayne Worthington, Manager at Streetbike, commented: “This was the first ISO standard we have achieved certification for and we have been extremely impressed with the process. At first, the thought of obtaining certification was a little daunting, however, we quickly realised that much of the criteria required we were already doing. What’s more, our certification body, Alcumus ISOQAR, has been extremely helpful, communicative and approachable, making our certification process a very positive one. We hope that achieving this standard will have a positive business impact by enabling us to tender for larger contracts, as it proves our dedication to compliance.”
Helen Jones, Managing Director of Alcumus ISOQAR, added: “Achieving ISO 9001 certification really does bring many business benefits from improved employee engagement and cost saving, to better management systems and increased customer satisfaction. Many SMEs can find the certification process quite daunting as the criteria can often look fairly extensive. However, if you’re prepared to formalise your documentation and internal systems, you will reap the rewards. I would like to congratulate the team at Streetbike on their recent success, they were very dedicated to the process and it paid off.”
