BAFE SP205-1 was launched in May 2012 for organisations who provide Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment services for clients. Just twelve months after the launch, we adopted the scheme, demonstrating to our clients that we provide a quality and relevant service for Fire Risk Assessments under the following regulations:
The Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005
The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005
The Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010
The BAFE SP205-1 scheme specifies that, as an organisation, we have the required technical and quality management capabilities, and that our risk assessment staff meet appropriate standards.
To maintain certification, we undergo two external surveillance visits per annum and a full certification visit every three years as required by UKAS. While our current certificate runs until 2020, we have already successfully renewed our BAFE certification.
