The business has experienced rapid growth and is now ranked in the top 10 providers in the UK. According to independent figures by Cornwall Energy, Utilita is the fastest growing independent energy supplier in the country.
In April 2017 the business reached 500,000 domestic customers, while staff numbers virtually trebled in 12 months to more than 1,000 across a number of sites in the UK, with that figure expected to rise throughout 2017.
As a result, Utilita found itself acquiring additional buildings.
The existing method of using spreadsheets was becoming unworkable, so Utilita started to source new software. Initially it looked at property compliance software, but soon realised it really needed a platform that could also manage other areas of the business.
Alcumus Info Exchange’s IE2 software provides a single platform that can manage multiple business areas. Used by 35% of the FTSE 100, it was the perfect choice for a growing, ambitious business such as Utilita.
Utilita now uses IE2 to manage health and safety and a FM helpdesk, in addition to its property, and is already aiming to add some of the many additional applications offered by Info Exchange.
