Alcumus and the Supply Chain Sustainability School embark on partnership to help the UK Construction Industry ‘Build Back Better’

Alcumus have joined forces with the Supply Chain Sustainability School on a mission to help the construction industry meet its challenging sustainability targets. Alcumus will collaborate with the School and  share its expert knowledge with the industry to support the School’s mission to deliver a more sustainable built environment.

The built environment accounts for nearly 40% of the UK’s total carbon footprint¹, prompting the government to call on the construction industry to cut emissions in half and slash costs by a third. At all levels of the supply chain, the environmental pressure is compounding as the industry strives to deliver more, for less. The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has cited the slow adoption of new technologies as a key obstacle to achieving a sustainable built environment.²
