“We currently hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001,” says Julie Evans, Standards and Quality Manager for Capita Travel and Events. “Implementing these management systems provides the platform for us to run a well organised, streamlined business which is focussed on driving excellent customer satisfaction and continual improvement. It’s really important for us to be able to demonstrate validate standards and quality for existing and potential customers.”
Some organisations with just one or two certificates are reluctant to add to their collection. But as Julie says, “Three certificates does not mean three times the work!” She explains: “Many clauses have been aligned across latest versions of the standards. So, for example, we now combine aspects of the management review for all standards as opposed to conducting three separate ones.”
Capita Travel and Events benefited from further efficiencies by appointing Alcumus ISOQAR as its sole Certification Body. “Originally, we had multiple certification bodies,” says Julie. “However, we knew it made sense to deal with just one. It saves considerable resources dealing with just one supplier.”
An external consultant recommended that they should consider Alcumus ISOQAR. Julie says: “We wanted to harmonise all of our offices under the one certification body. We looked at five of them and chose Alcumus ISOQAR. We liked the well-thought-out proposal and their approach to our large project.”
Since coming on board with Alcumus ISOQAR, Julie has been very impressed, especially with the lead auditors. “We knew the scale of the project ahead and they were professional, friendly and very efficient. With their help, we’ve got to where we wanted to be,” says Julie.
