Course Overview

The CQI IRCA Auditor Conversion qualification will equip delegates with the skills and techniques of auditing to OHSAS 18001, and demonstrate how to communicate the audit findings effectively to the management of the audited organisation.

Course objectives
The course will give an understanding of:

  • The purpose of an OHSAS

  • Management of health & safety risks

  • The purpose and content of OHSAS 18001

  • The conducting of an OHSAS audit

  • The knowledge and skills required to perform audits of health & safety systems against OHSAS 18001.

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at existing auditors of other management standards who wish to carry out health and safety management system audits.

Prior knowledge requirements
Previously have attended and passed an CQI IRCA certified Auditor/Lead auditor course relating to another management standard, e.g. QMS, EMS, ISMS, evidence of this needs to be available to CQI IRCA on application.
