OHSAS 18001 is being withdrawn in March 2021
OHSAS 18001 has been replaced by ISO 45001, the first international standard for occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMS). This new standard was published in March 2018.
If you are new to ISO 45001, you should start here.
To maintain your certification when OHSAS 18001 is withdrawn, you need to plan how you are going to ‘migrate’ to ISO 45001.
Alcumus ISOQAR has produced a range of tools to support you through this process which you can read about below. Of course, you can always just give us a call or email us if you’d like to talk this through with us.
Why migrate early?
You can of course migrate at any time you wish, but there are strong benefits to migrating early.
- Gain an advantage over your competitors by being an early adopter
- Introduce better risk management processes
- Integrate better with other management systems if you have, for example, ISO 9001 or ISO 14001
