Alcumus Safecontractor are actively seeking a Head of Sales to lead the field based new business and account management teams, with the core objective of maximising the long term, sustainable, revenue growth of the business.

SafeContractor is expanding rapidly with an enviable 30% year on year growth and can boast a client base that includes 35% of the FTSE 100. We were recently awarded ‘Tomorrow’s Health & Safety Award 2017’ and have ambitious plans for 2018 and beyond. This position is a growth role and will report to the Business Unit Director. 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Development of an annual sales strategy to ensure delivery of the annual business plan 

  • Work collaboratively with marketing, identify target sectors and campaigns for lead generation and required sales material to optimise the new business sales process 

  • Development of effective account plans for all strategic clients to establish year on year growth 

  • Design and implement the optimal team structure 

  • Lead the recruitment process from selection through to a comprehensive induction and training programme for all new starters and probation sign-off 

  • Ensure each team member has clear objectives and regular feedback to benchmark performance. 

  • Act as a coach and mentor to maximise the potential of each individual within the team 

  • Instil a disciplined approach to end to end pipeline management 

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual new business forecasting to ensure the field sales team have adequate pipelines to deliver annual business targets 

  • Develop relationships with other key sales stakeholders in the wider Alcumus Group to ensure lead generation is a key part of the sales process 

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Operations to ensure the process for on-boarding clients is effective and conversion rate maximised. 

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Degree qualified or equivalent 

  • Previous successful experience of managing high performing sales teams, ideally both New Business & Account Management 

  • Previous successful experience of implementing sales performance management strategy 

  • Highly numerate / literate 

  • Driven to monitor and achieve target numbers 

  • Commercially astute to be able to identify business opportunities and innovative solutions to deliver 

  • Excellent communicator at all levels 

  • Excellent negotiation skills to ensure full value is achieved for the business unit 

  • Experience of managing both existing relationships and farming those as well as generating new business leads 

  • Experience of defining and implementing a sales strategy to achieve annual targets.
