Role Purpose: 
 
To support Alcumus in the growth of Alcumus’ Health, Safety and Environmental Consultancy services through the delivery of HSE Services.
 
Role Responsibilities

Technical:

  • To carry out fee earning duties aligned with revenue expectations and targets;

  • Plan and manage personal capacity in conjunction with the resource planning managers aligned with revenue expectations as above;

  • Participate and support business improvement by participating in technical input to proposals / quotations, development plans and service improvements;

  • Keep abreast of industry, client and product stream trends and advancements;

  • Work with all Alcumus teams to develop, grow and maintain relationships to improve and drive a consistent approach to customers;

  • Ensure selling opportunities are identified and passed to the relevant team;

  • To carry out HSE, including fire risk assessments of clients' premises/activities as required and produce detailed reports of findings and recommendations;

  • To carry out consultancy work in the field of HSE in accordance with the agreed contract;

  • To participate in the training of clients and in the delivery of Company training sessions as required;

General:

  • To deliver services which contribute to the annual Health and Safety budget;

  • Identify and escalate serious operational issues, serious includes those issues that affect delivery to budget, exceptional spend, quality and safety;

  • Ensure maintenance of professional status and continuing personal professional development;

  • To complete all work and management information within required timescales;

  • To be alert to health and safety hazards at work and to take all necessary steps to control risks to the post holder and to others;

  • To attend and participate in Company meetings as required;

  • Providing the highest level of service and responsiveness to our clients;

  • The production of work to a high standard of quality which reflects sound professional, technical and administrative judgment and skill in accordance with the training and experience of the post holder;

  • The completion of all tasks in accordance with set priorities, budgetary considerations, target dates, Company standards and procedures.

Required Experience

  • Formal qualification in Health and Safety:

                  -BSc Degree or Diploma in Risk Management / Environmental Health
                  -NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
                  -Other approved specialist qualification.

  • Formal qualification in Fire Risk Assessments:

                 -NEBOSH Fire Certificate (or equivalent)

  • Minimum member of IOSH (Working towards Chartered status)

  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivery of technical services.

  • Familiarity with legislation and best practices.

  • Knowledge of industry trends.

  • Experience of consultancy services.
