Role Purpose: 

As a member of a team of field based management systems auditors, to undertake certification audits at a wide range of clients located throughout the UK and, if required, overseas.


Role Responsibilities:
 

  • To conduct management systems audits (Stage 1, Stage 2, Surveillance and Re -Certification) against the requirements of a range of International Standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001

  • To submit audit reports in the required format to Head Office with recommendations for action to be taken

  • To promote the benefits of certification to management system standards for existing clients and to undertake visits to potential clients in order to maximise market share

  • To identify sales opportunities for additional certification and training courses

  • Operating within a regional structure (North/Midlands/South), to ensure that the personal diary is at full capacity and that it is monitored in order to transfer audit work to more locally based auditors to avoid unnecessary travel

  • Travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays

  • Any other duties assigned by the Head of Operations or Technical Director.


Required Experience:
 

  • Degree or equivalent

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 Lead Auditor Pass or other Lead Auditor Qualification plus Lead Auditor Pass in any other standard relevant to the individual sector

  • Good knowledge of the certification industry

  • Minimum of 1 year Lead Auditor experience working for a certification body

  • Good understanding of management systems and standards and their implementation

  • Good understanding of audit methodology

  • Knowledge of specific sector scheme standards and their requirements

  • IT skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Communication skills

  • Report Writing.
