The role of the Pre-Sales Solution Specialist is to be the sole functional/product resource for assigned opportunities. Working as part of the sales team with the assigned Business Development Director on an opportunity by opportunity basis being fully responsible for client demonstrations of the Info Exchange business proposal. 
  

Responsibilities: 

 

 

  • Responsible for the functional portion of RFI’s and RFP’s and initial identification of IE2 solutions/components needed based on requirements 

  • Ask the questions necessary to be able to demonstrate and position the IE2 solution in a way which the prospect will relate to and buy into

  • Plan and prepare for demonstrations by creating scripts/detailed lists of what to show so that demonstration is clear and easy to follow for the prospect and is done in a targeted and tailored manner 

  • Work with Project/Account Management team when new IE2 solutions/components are being sold on an opportunity by opportunity basis being fully responsible for demonstrations, functional portion of RFI’s and RFP’s and initial identification of IE2 solutions/applications needed based on requirements 

  • Participate in Discovery Calls prior to demonstrations in order to learn more about the prospect to provide a top notch demonstration

  • Follow IEX’s handover process once contracts have been completed

  • Support the relationship with Verdantix and other industry bodies, providing demonstrations and product updates. 

  

Requirements: 

 

  • Experience within one or more of the following sectors: Energy, Environment, Health & Safety or GRC

  • Proven track record in an pre-sales technical or solutions specialist role within a software/technology environment 

  • Subject matter expertise in a required field (ideally gained working within the market they are now ‘selling’ to). 

  • Strong client-facing skills, e.g. meeting and presenting to clients 

  • Strong commercial skills including an understanding of the sales process 

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Strong problem solving skills including an ability to think ‘on their feet’ when faced with challenging questions in the sales environment

  • Experience managing the bid or proposal process including responding to RFI’s/RFP’s.
