Role Purpose: 
 
The role provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven resource planner to play a crucial role within the Alcumus Group Health & Safety Division. The candidate will be responsible for delivery of income and cost budgets for an assigned Consultancy Team. 
 
The candidate will be responsible for providing day to day operational planning, co-ordination of work flow and communication to customers and colleagues. Through meticulous attention to detail, the Scheduler will maintain a work plan for the delivery of confirmed customer requirements that utilises company and associate consultancy resource. The candidate will be expected to ensure the highest standards in scheduling and customer service delivery are consistently maintained in accordance with policy, procedures and quality standards.
 
Role Responsibilities:

  • To play a critical role in the delivery of the monthly and annual income and cost budgets for an assigned Consultancy Team and to support the overall delivery of the HSE Consultancy income and cost budgets

  • To ensure consultancy resource is fully optimised through effective skills set application and geographic co-ordination

  • To ensure consultancy resource is fully maximised through scheduling/assigning of projects

  • To engage with customers to deliver on time and to a high standard

  • To build great relationships with the Consultancy Team and wider colleague stakeholders– efficient and effective to ensure clear and consistent communication flows; collaborative to ensure we pull together as one team

  • To accurately collate all chargeable and non- chargeable activities on a real-time basis to ensure up to date forecasts and accuracy of utilisation and optimisation

  • To provide up to date MI analysis and insight on capacity, forecast utilisation, forecast volumes, forecast accuracy and headcount availability to the Head of Scheduling on a weekly basis

  • To pro-actively engage in the Alcumus Group culture of continuous improvement and identify and articulate improvement opportunities.

 
Required Experience

  • Educated to GCSE level or above

  • Excellent communication and literacy skills for both internal and external customers

  • Have a high level of organisational skills and a proactive approach to service improvement

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise workload and self-motivated to achieve tight deadlines

  • Highly motivated and ability to be a team player

  • Previous Scheduling experience an advantage


Personal characteristics:

  • To be able to plan, organise, prioritise workloads quickly and effectively.

  • Able to work under pressure and to deadlines.

  • Ability to work on own initiative on behalf of the team prioritising tasks and meeting critical deadlines to achieve a high standard of work.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner.
