Role Purpose
 
Reporting into the Technical Team Manager, you will be based in our Manchester office and will have responsibility of delivering effective and compliant administration of all technical aspects of the certification process, ensuring that all business and UKAS requirements are adhered to.  Although this is role is primarily concerned with UK Operations, there will from time to time be a requirement to assist the International team with technical support (for example to cover absence or support peaks in workload).
 

Role Responsibilities:
 

  • Completion and submission of  application reviews for approval as directed by the Technical Team Manager

  • Technical review of Stage 1 and Stage 2 audit reports

  • Technical review/approval of recertification documentation including planning forms and reports

  • Preparation of audit plans as required eg. stage 1, ETS and transfers

  • Technical review/approval of transfer documentation

  • Dealing with technical enquiries from auditors, clients and consultants

  • Respond to technical queries related to the Certification Process

  • Assist the audit liaison team in the allocation of auditors to specific jobs

  • Surveillance report monitoring

  • Any other duties as appropriate as allocated by the Technical Team Manager.

 
 
Required Experience:

 

  • Good knowledge of the certification industry with at least 2 years working experience in relevant areas.

  • Knowledge of ISO 17021/17065 requirements

  • Knowledge of a range of standards including quality, environmental and health and safety management system standards.

  • Degree or equivalent

  • ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Pass or other Lead Auditor Qualification (Desirable)
